Arqiva approved course
TRS Safety and Trainings Radio Frequency course is run over a half day and is a non practical classroom based course (either 9am - 1pm or 1:30pm - 5pm). The RF course is aimed at introducing the worker or member of the public to the risks of either working or being located around telecommunications and broadcasting RF equipment.
RF Awareness course approval / acreditation This course is Arqiva approved and is a perquisite for working on any Arqiva site or structure.
Certificate Validation The course is currently valid for 3 years.
Prerequisites Minimum age 18 and students must have an understanding of spoken and written English.
The Radio Frequency Awareness course content covers the following subject areas. The effects of Radio Frequency (RF) exposure through Ionising and Non Ionising radiation - Identification of Antennas - Signs and symptoms of RF exposure - Exposure standards - Personal protection precautions - Personal Radio Frequency PPE like Narda S3 RF monitor or Radman RF monitor or similar.
Assessment procedure There will be a questions and answers paper on completion of the course to gauge your understanding of the course content. Assistance will be given for those who may need it.
