Course Introduction A 1 day theory and classroom practical course (9am - 5pm) aimed at teaching the students the basics and priorities of First Aid including possible injuries caused by RF exposure and possible working at heights injuries.

This course can also be attended by any student wishing to become certified to 8 hour EFAW standards. The course does not cover practical heights first aid like fractures or spinal injuries.

Certification Upon completion of the course, each student will receive a Level 3 EFAW certificate and a First Aid at Heights 8 hour certificate through TRS Safety Training.

Certificate Validation The Course is currently valid for 3 years.

Prerequisites Minimum age 18 and students must have an understanding of spoken and written English.

Course content Priorities of First Aid - Primary Survey - Resuscitation - Recovery position - Choking - Shock - Bleeding - Broken Bones – Burns - Heart Attack - First Aid kits - RF exposure injuries - Suspension related injuries or health issues.

Assessment procedure Ongoing practical assessment throughout the course and a questions and answers paper on completion of the course to gauge your understanding of the course content. Assistance will be given for those who may need it.
