Tower Crane Rescue

 

TRS Safety Training offer bespoke tower crane rescue courses to companies that need to have in place a rescue plan to carry out any work activity that uses tower cranes.

The course covers all the necessary training to comply with the Health and Safety at Work act sect (2) and the Working at Heights 2005 Regulation 4 (1) and (2)

The course is run over a minimum of 1 day and the certificate is valid for a 1 year period.
The course is aimed at the Crane driver, Banksman, Lift Supervisor, Site Management and the site rescue teams. The student must already have knowledge and experience of working at heights and fall arrest equipment. And be comfortable at working at heights.
The course content covers the following subject areas:
The law and regulations regarding the provision of a rescue plan, rescue training and the provision of a rescue back up.
The need for rescue training as an employer or deployer
Fundamental rescue principles and inspection and maintenance of rescue equipment
Self rescue
Simple rigging skills and safe anchor placement
Safe systems of work for rescue teams
Fundamental First Aid situations that is associated with working at heights including Suspension syncope (Suspension trauma) and heart attacks.
Also how the emergency services may assist the team in the safe evacuation of the casualty or worker in need of rescue.
