Capstan Winch

A one day course aimed at teaching the competent rigger how to use a Capstans Winch whilst carrying out safe and simple lifting techniques. Looks at characteristics, installation and safe uses of the winch. Also looks at simple lifting theory.
Course valid for 3 years. Proof of a valid Climber Cert is a prerequisite. Minimum age 18 and students must have an understanding of English. A fit for work declaration will need to be completed before start of course.

Assessment procedure: The course will include a practical and simple written assessment on completion of the knowledge and skill acquisition stage. Delegates will be assessed throughout the courses both verbally and visually.
